Applications are invited for Proof of Concept funds from E3B: Metals in Biology members who are eligible to receive BBSRC funding.
We are pleased with the progress of funded E3B Proof of Concept projects and keen to make our remaining Proof of Concept awards this year if possible. So, this ‘might’ be your last opportunity to apply!
We especially welcome applications that state their connection to NET-zero targets. This is likely to encompass most uses of metal-enzymes in sustainable bio-manufacturing (inside cells, using extracts or pure proteins) and the bio-recovery of at-risk metals, as examples.
The work must be relevant to remit of the Network including industrial biotechnology and bioenergy.
Funding of up to £25,000 is available per project.
Deadline for applications: Wednesday 4th May 2022 (12 noon).
