IBioIC conference and news

It’s almost #IBioIC23! Things are ramping up as final preparations are made for this year’s IBioIC Annual Conference.

This year’s sessions will deliver useful insights and practical learning for attendees, with deep dives into issues around funding and investment, sustainable materials, strategic partnerships and the scale up journey, along with opportunities to hear from companies and researchers at the cutting edge of innovation in the biotech sphere. This year’s conference dinner will take place in Platform in Glasgow’s famous underground arches – another opportunity for attendees to network in a relaxed and informal setting.

The first of the conference Fringe Events is now available for you to sign up. Women in Synthetic Biology and the BioIndustry Association have teamed up to host a free breakfast and networking event before the start of conference. Sign up to hear from a panel of influential women to discuss how to build organisational and global resilience. (Men most welcome too!)
The Feasibility Fund has reopened as a rolling call until all funds are allocated. This new round offers of up to £30k for collaborative Proof of Concept projects that build evidence and data to support future funding applications for larger scale work.

The next Bioeconomy Cluster Builder event will be a webinar looking at routes to transform industrial waste gases into high value chemicals, and the first of the conference fringe events is now available for you to sign up

Don’t forget to check out the latest vacancies on the Jobs Board and get all the latest news to stay up to date on what’s happening in the network.

And finally, there are two Spotlight features this month – get your applications in to Converge 2023 by 29 March, and take part in a study into the economic and climate benefits of bio-based chemicals.
